It&#039;s also tough to make a comparison between Carter&#039;s inept leadership and 43&#039;s willingness to shred the Constitution, lie to the UN, torture POWs,  and start pre-emptive wars.

I&#039;ll give you that both guys leave something to be desired as Chief Execs, but the worst you can say about Carter is that he was in over his head - there&#039;s scant evidence that he ever used his office to line his pockets or benefit his associates. Bush on the other hand, was inept AND corrupt.  There&#039;s no Carter equivalents to Halliburton, Abu-Garaib, Guantanamo Bay, the torture of &quot;enemy combatants&quot; the Attorney General scandals, etc.

Plus, I doubt Bush will have anything like the Camp David Accords to crow about 20 years from now.

I will make one concession - both guys are sterling examples of what you get when you elect jesus-freaks to office.</description>
